Sway Control

Caravans are susceptible to sideways movement or sway. This can be caused by adverse weather conditions such as high winds, buffeting from trucks and other large vehicles or evasive manoeuvres in emergency situations.

Sway control systems continuously monitor the lateral (side to side) movement of the caravan and use this information to identify critical sway. Once identified, the sway control system applies the brakes, bringing the tow vehicle back into line in a controlled manner.
